FishTown at the tip of Leelanau Pennisula

How much fun is to go to place that you were at over 15 years ago.  A place that reminds you of friends that you spent a week exploring Michigan, running to different light houses only to take a picture to say we were there and then to jump back into the car on to the next one.  This vacation was vivid to me, Ann and Rich Racette and baby Richie ready to come any day.  One last vacation until our best friends became parents... our lifestyles of Jimmy Buffet pool parties, margaritas, Chi Chi's mexican food and random trips of exploring slowly changing.

One of our stops was to FishTown and I remember telling Rich how cool this place was and glad we made  it part of our trip.  How lucky were we that at our rep trip last week in Traverse City, one of my reps said hey we went to this cool little fishing village...shut up!  The very next day I grabbed my little chicklets, my parents and the somewhat willing husband (who had already been there once :-) to take a ride up the coast.  One gorgeous day, mixed with ice cream, pretzel salami sandwiches, docked fishing boats, cool home made jewelry, and one awesome picture taking stop...mixed up for the perfect recipe!

Love this place and if you are ever on the Leelanau Penninsula look it up...definitely a must see for Michigan :-)
