Are you ready for some football...

It's that time of year....the time where football rules! I will be a football mom that is for sure, the kind that cooks spaghetti dinner for the team on Thursday night to carb up for the big game. I will be LeAnn from the Blind Side, I even have a kick ass southern accent that is ready to kick in at anytime. I know the game back and forth and I will yell at the coach...but most of all I will be his biggest fan :-)
Since Cam was born I dreamed of the day where I could watch my son play football, if you know me you know I live and breathe the sport. The best feeling in the world was when Cam came home from the first football practice of the season just excited to play, to compete and of course to have fun. The Sundays have been beautiful for football...and as you can tell by these pictures Cam walks off the field with big smiles...the undefeated Mighty Ducks!

Jules and Butch

My Julie or "Jules" as I affectionately started calling her at the age of 7 is getting married in October 2011...I was able to capture the first part of this journey yesterday. Julie became my niece through our marriage as she is Tony's sister (Jeanne) daughter...wow that is a mouthful! She has always been feisty ever since the moment I met her. One of her very first conversations with me was how she liked me more then Uncle Tony's last girlfriend because she wore too much perfume. To see her grow over the last 20 years and become who she is today has been an adventure...the kind of one that you don't want to miss.

So we have been planning this i think from the day they got engaged and guess what the day was perfect! 80 degrees out, the leaves were turning, sun was shining and the breeze was the kind that kept you cool in that kind of weather. Through many wardrobe changes and places around the lake we created our photo shoot.

As Tony and I drove home from the lake yesterday, I was full of happiness and love. For a few reasons: 1) This was my first real photo shoot with my new fabulous lens, which I had never used before 2) I wanted them to be perfect 3) I was glad that Butch was tolerant of me and the 800 pictures that I took yesterday 4) Lastly, I got front row seats for the show! The show was simple "LOVE", with anyone you love you hope that they find someone that loves them as much as you do. I saw that yesterday behind my lens...I saw two people who can make each other laugh over anything, are tolerant through 800 pictures together and above all just simply LOVE each other. Butch won me over from the start, but yesterday he became part of my family.

Here are a few of my favorite pics

To be young and in love

Caits waits all summer for the few weekends that she gets to spend with Hayden. Hayden is a family friend and they have been spending summer time together since they were babies.

She loves him so much that it is scary to me....she draws him pictures throughout the year, saves silly bands that say "I love you" for him, patiently waits for his arrival and then...I lose her. Her world revolves around him...it is as close to puppy love as I have ever seen. I tease Hayden's Mom and Dad, Danielle and Troy, that she is going to be their future daughter in law. She tells me all the time that they will marry when they are six...as she feels she will be ready by then. To watch a little girl fall so hard for a little boy has to be one of the most heart warming things I have experienced with my children :-)

I was able to take them to my favorite summer place where we bought donuts, picked out marbles and visited all of the farm animals. Momma pig will be delivering soon as we have watched her grow all summer. Cait says she is "Huge", I try to tell her that no pregnant women ever wants to hear those words....Mom, she is not a women...she is a pig, she politely corrects me :-) Apples are ready and we can't wait for fall which brings cider, donuts, apple fritters and caramel apples...four of the major food groups!
