Not sure if I'll get the pics from last night but I did hang with some of my greatest friends and boy did we have a blast. We will laugh about this when we are 80! Yes, your thoughts are right we took a class on how to pole dance. Some of us were better then others which makes you wonder how they spent their college nights.
No worries on quitting my day job, I have to give those strippers credit...working the pole is an art! So picture 9 of us with three poles and an instructor that couldn't have been over 5 foot and maybe weighed 85 pounds. I have pole burn on my right arm doing everything I could to hang on while I was wildly swinging my body around...not to mention bruises, where I shouldn't have bruises. Pole burn is a lot like rug burn...you get the idea! The best thing about last night I was with my friends and we were all laughing, cheering each other on and oooohing when someone would make a sexy face. My friends are so beautiful in their own way but it was so great to see everyone let their hair down (you need sexy long hair to be a good stripper) and just have a blast and not care what anyone thought. Those moments I will cherish as nothing sums up a day better when you offer to carry your best friend out of the gym because she pulled a butt muscle :-)
So this might become a monthly thing, so watch out the next time I have some liquid courage in me I might have to show you some of my skills...but be afraid if all of us are together!
When it comes to life the quote above pretty much sums up my existance. I love the little things in life! The things my children do that make me smile or remind me of myself or Tony. The way someone can brighten your whole day and not even know it...life should be moments, glances, and memories. I have created this blog to capture as many as I can.

Skating at the Cube
What better way to spend a Tuesday afternoon than skating at the Ice Cube. Cam's Boy Scout Troop met this afternoon since the boy's had only a half day of school. I haven't skated in 2 years and ohhhh how I love to skate. We were there for 60 minutes and I could have been there for 60 more but the kids were exhausted. Cait had a great little ice walker which helped her to keep her balance, Cam spent a lot of time getting up from the ice but there always was this big smile on his face :-) Gavin, Kyle and Cam I think spent more time pushing each other down then actually skating. To finish the day off Cait found a hockey puck and decided to make it her own souvenir...watch out if she is in your home she has become quite the klepto. It was 65 degrees out and 40 degrees in the rink...perfect March day!

Where have I been???
The last two weeks have been a blurrr literally. I love playing soccer on Friday night as Tony and I play in this 20 something co-ed league. You may be laughing now as I am definitely not 20 something. Well this 20 year old decided to kick a soccer ball as hard as he could into my head...and down I went. Pretty much down since February 26th, never went to the doctor but diagnosed myself with a concussion via Web MD :-) I am too old as I hit the big 36 on Wednesday to get brain damage as I definitely need my brain. So I played soccer again last night as I am a die hard athlete, and the last 30 seconds of the game I took a shot to the stomach...at least it wan't my head :-) The abs of steal kept me upright! Hoping to post soon!

Can snow really be this beautiful?
If you know me, you know that I love sun, the beach and a nice lounge chair by the pool. I have never been a fan of winter, to me you only get days that look like this for maybe 6 hours and then everything starts to get slushy and that winter dream turns into just another cold day. I was home with the kids today and I was so excited to snap some pics. For my warm weather friends be jealous, because today is one of those days where Michigan can leave you speechless.

Drive me to Oakwood
Our summer house is coming along beautifully and truthfully, I think I almost cried on Saturday when we went there. I have always heard about places that take your breath away or somewhere that your feet feel so deeply planted in the ground that years can go by and you feel as if they were minutes. I just feel that way when I step on this piece of property. As I stood on the deck looking out into the water all I could think of is my little monkeys running through the yard laughing as I sat surrounded by friends and family. With me now firmly in my 30's I just want to stop and breathe, hear the quiet and just love life! May can't come soon enough but once it gets here I want to stop time immediately...

Pinewood Derby 2010
Cam had a super fabulous day this past weekend...as it was Pinewood Derby Day! We started Cub Scouts in the Fall of 2009 and Cam has just enjoyed every minute of it...but the Derby definitely seems like his favorite thing so far. Tony and Cam spent the last two weeks getting his car in to tip top shape for the big race. 40 kids came together on Saturday to see who had the fastest car. Cam's car did very well and we took away some good pointers for next year...and of course I got some great pics :-) He also was presented with his first patch as he completed some of his coursework along with receiving the award for Most Original Design. They did a ceremony that included painting the boys faces with colors that symbolized achievements and the true meaning of The Pack. Both sets of Grandparents were there and loved seeing how happy he was.
