Lovely day for a donut, pumpkin and a honey crisp apple

So we love this place, and my trimmed down waistline definitely shows that I haven't been there for at least a month.  It is the time of year when we get to pick out pumpkins, do corn mazes, buy honey crisp apples, and eat cinnamon sugar apple donuts.  Flavor Fruit Farm is amazing try to get there before the Fall Season is over...I hear everything there is Fat Free and carry the necessary antioxidants to take years off of your life. (not real I know, but I tell myself this as it makes me feel better when I am washing my donut down with a mexican coke :-)

Never thought I would be a Minnesota Vikings Fan???

Maybe back in the days of Culpepper and Moss, not really when Favre was there, try to watch them now because of Adrian Peterson...but Cam is a Viking this year so we are now fans :-)  That is their Flag Football team name and they currently are undefeated.  Cam gets to play a varity of positions but mainly quarterback, they were down 7-0 last Sunday, Cam did a quarterback sneak and ran in the touchdown for 6 points.  He then completed a pass for a 2 point conversion.  They won 8-7.  Beautiful day for a football game as you can tell by the short sleeves and shorts.  If you are a reader of my blog you know my passion for football and the want/need/hope to watch him play in college...I would love the NFL but no pressure here :-)

Go Grease Lightning...Cait is burning up the 1/4 mile

Ok so I took some liberties with the title of the blog today, but my Cait-Bug's team is called Lightning Girls...and oh was Cait lightning fast today.  Last week it was 75 degrees and perfect, she just didn't feel like playing soccer.  Mainly because she was going to be a Flower Girl that day...more important things to do.   Today it was 50 degrees out and 40mph winds and for some reason she just felt like running, dribbling, passing and scoring...which thank you God for small favors.  Nothing worse then sitting outside in the freezing cold and watching your daughter play in slow motion.  Her normal colors are navy blue and black, but today all the girls got to throw some pink in their for warmth...maybe it was the pink sweatpants or the green grapes she had for snack at halftime.  Today was fun and we ended up with a goal under our belt and a win for the team.

What a difference a year makes...

This time last year I was taking their enagagement pictures and within a blink of an eye...the day comes.  All of the planning, the details, the family squabbles, the tears, the excitement and above all the LOVE.  I talk about Julie all the time in my blog, to be honest in a weird way I feel like we have grown up together.  Julie was 5 when I started dating Tony and I was 16...different parts of our lives for sure but definitely still kids.  I do look at her as my sister more then a niece. Being in the Bacarella Family for the last 21 years has allowed me to be a major part of my nieces and nephews lives.  Above all I have always wanted to be the person to them that loves them unconditionally, tells them when they are just being plain crazy, but in the end the person that they know that they can always count on.   Tony and I started this journey with our oldest nephew Bobby, when he and Renee got married, we were asked to be the Best Man and Matron of Honor.  Bobby and Tony grew up like brothers and have always treated each other that way.  It is amazing to be so much a part of someone's childhood, but then have a front row seat to their next chapter of their life that includes for them marriage and my Super Great Nephew Connor.

To be a part of this special day with her and Butch was an honor for me...why because I am one of those fairy tales do come true kind of people.  I believe that they have found each other's soul mate...opposites to the core but somehow/someway that has created an amazing couple who embrace each other.  The theme for the day was SMILING, and no matter where you went there was an abundance of smiling.   I have never seen my sister-in-law Jeanne and brother-in-law John so happy!  Through the emotion of marrying your little girl off to someone she adores they fought through the tears and smiles emerged because they knew deep in their heart how amazing she is and she did find someone that thinks that way about her too.

Now Butch, I have no idea if you will ever read this but Welcome to the Bacarella Family!  This family is a handful at times and I know you have experienced that over the years...mostly in the last year.  But your stuck with us now...you picked our Jules!  Thank you for loving and caring for someone so deeply that I treasure...I couldn't have wished for a better match.

Below are some of my favs from the wedding...but be aware this is a super long post :-)
