14 years and we celebrate it in Detroit

One of the most beautiful Michigan days that our summer starved bodies could ask for.  When Tony asked me what should we spend our day off doing...I said let's spend it in Detroit :-)  Tony looked at me like I was crazy at least maybe the thought of is this the point where our marriage takes a turn for the worse.  I am one of those Michigan people that have never experienced Eastern Market on a Saturday so we decided to try it on a Monday with no vendors but we went into all of the cool stores and boutiques.  I bought some of the most randomn things wine, wasabi peas, pineapple, onions, a cool flower pot, salami, italian bread and shea butter :-)

We had an amazing lunch at Roma Cafe which has been around for at least 100 years.  To get classic italian food like that made me feel like I was back in Tony's mom's restaurant.  We had a blast with the top down on the Mustang, the sun shining down and a little bit of Detroit culture.  Tony loved it and has signed up for another visit on a Saturday when all of the crazy vendors are there.  I guess you can train an old dog couple some new tricks!
