Summer is so Sweet

This summer was spent with family.  With Sam taking a turn for the worse in may we all made a commitment to get him to the lake as much as possible.  Joe made a custom wheelchair to be able to get him down on the pontoon.  Cait spent the summer looking for rocks to give Grandpa.

Yes, she did it!!!!  After the second attempt she was up on the board and the smiles were huge.  Before long she was doing 180's without falling...the fear level is low in this one.

And Cait-Bug can kneeboard!

 I don't know if she just has no fear or if she is willing to put all of her fears aside, just so she can prove to us that she can do it.  In reality it is to show Cam that she can do something that he would have ever thought to do at her age.  It only took two attempts and before we knew it she was up and ready to do tricks.  We were so proud of her...she says that wakeboarding is next!

Eat, Eat again and Eat some more!

 Another summer slowly coming to a close and the fair as a kid always gave me that alert that in a month I was going back to school.  Met my family there Thursday night and we visited all of our favorite places:  Vince's Coney Dogs, Lemonade Shake Ups, Yummy French Fries, Cheese Sticks.  Somehow we consume a week's worth of calories but you pass another food booth and suddenly your stomach has room.  The kids go straight to the Midway to ride rides and play carnival games.  Bryce won Cait a penguin and Cam and Bryce won inflatable bats...and some goldfish for our home ( they unfortunately suffered an untimely death as did the ones last year)

  Bryce is saying "I won this"...gotta love him...I know Cait sure does!
