The one thing about Mackinaw Island is it gives you the ability to just chill out. Maybe it is because there are no cars and everywhere you go you have to walk you do take extra time just to take it all in. To me that means anytime I have my chicklets, a beach filled with stones and beautiful clouds in the sky, the camera comes out and I find a nice rock to plant myself on and snap away. The coldness of the water felt so good on this warm August day...great ending to a perfect two days with my kids.
When it comes to life the quote above pretty much sums up my existance. I love the little things in life! The things my children do that make me smile or remind me of myself or Tony. The way someone can brighten your whole day and not even know it...life should be moments, glances, and memories. I have created this blog to capture as many as I can.

The Grandest Monday ever.
Kristen and I's annual trip! Every year we trek out somewhere to check out the next place for our work conference. We meet with meeting planners to discuss all the details and put the final touches on our conference next June. This time was extra special as we were able to bring the kids and Elizabeth from our office. What a gorgeous couple days that we had and the kids had quite a time.
Boarding the ferry was quite a trip for these guys since the last time Cam was here he was one and Cait has never been here. The wind through the straits was quite chilly but the sun was warming.
The biggest treat of all was getting to stay at The Grand since that is where we are having the conference. Love this place it is so quirky with all the colors and the amazing architecture. We spent the day eating fudge, riding bikes and ending the day with an amazing dinner and some smores to top off the evening!
