USS Midway

We were so excited to take in this bit of history with the kids.  Not only can you see it from like 2 miles away but when you walk up to it you have to step back for a second and just take it all in.  The tour was amazing and all of the guides were happy to piece together the stories and help us to understand what life was like on the ship.  The kids were totally taken back and loved this part of the trip.  I loved all of the greta pictures that came from this event as we had a gorgeous view of San Diego.

 We absolutely love this place, I have been here a few times and truthfully it is the one place I wish I could live.  To me this is peace, tranquility, and one's inner self.  A place where you can go and marvel at what God has made and find a little bit of calm within.  The sun was hot and the seals were out to bask in the warmth.  Completely free but amazingly priceless!

The World Famous San Diego Zoo!

 The first day of our trip to San Diego was amazing as we got to experience the world famous zoo.  It was a beautiful day and the animals were on full show.  The flowers in California are so cool and my favorite Birds of Paradise were everywhere.  The hippos, elephants and koalas were everyone's favorites and we were so close we felt we could touch them.
